Kairos is our new women's initiative created and led by local women. A vibrant, safe and relaxing women-only space in Johnstone to come together for social activities, courses and classes.

How to get involved?

  • Drop in every Thursday from 10am - 12noon to meet other women, enjoy a cuppa and find out more about Kairos
  • Sign-up to Beautiful Women, our 6-week Personal Development course, to reflect on the world and your place in it and build long-lasting friendships with other women
  • Volunteer as part of our Inclusion Team to influence the development of Kairos. We meet monthly to discuss the barriers women face when coming to groups.

We are inclusive and provide support to all women, regardless of age, race, disability, religion and belief, lesbian, bisexual or transgender identity, or any other irrelevant factor. We welcome all women through our doors.

We believe that when women support women incredible things can happen!

Mhairi Black EqualiTeas event

On Friday the 22nd of June together with Mhairi Black we hosted EqualiTea event

to celebrate what equality means to us over a cup of tea and a cake.

We had a lovely time debating about democracy, and sharing our ideas on voting rights. We also heard an inspiring talk from our local MP Mhairi Black. She even managed to lead the slosh dance with our guests. Video from the dance can be found here.

We want to thanks to everyone who contributed to the event. Our Equality was a wonderful success and we are looking forward to our 100 Voices of Inspiring Women event in September.
