Our volunteers really are the backbone of everything we do. Without them, Active Communities couldn’t exist.
You can do your part in being there for the local community in Renfrewshire by getting involved in a whole variety of different ways. Become a Community Health Champion, Youth Worker Volunteer, a Phone Buddie, or a volunteer at The Pantry. Or maybe you'd like to volunteer at Station Seven, supporting the day-to-day running of the hub by lending a hand on reception, helping with admin, setting up rooms or doing some DIY.
It all just depends on where you think your skills are best suited and what you’d like to get stuck into!
Every minute of time that you can give back to the community will make a real difference in someone’s life.
Become an Active Communities volunteer today and you’ll feel rewarded from day one!
Here are just a few ways you’ll benefit from volunteering with us:
"Little did I know that volunteering was a two-way thing. Helping myself to help others with great satisfaction and a good fun-feel factor."
Mary Bowman, Active Communities volunteer
"It also enables you to become part of the community, learn new skills/opportunities, meet new people and build friendships/connections at your own pace."
Sheila King, Active Communities volunteer
Anyone is welcome to apply for our volunteer roles. If you’d like to volunteer for Active Communities, we’d love to hear from you!
