Fundraising for Active Communities is a fun and empowering way to get active while giving something back to the local community.
Every penny raised through fundraising goes straight back into running our activities and community space. You can always be sure that the money you raise will have a direct impact on the people we support.
You can choose to take part in one of our fundraising events or come up with your own idea to raise funds for people who need it.
We run a number of large-scale events each year where you can join Active Communities members to raise funds.
In the past, we’ve organised a whole load of successful events, including a Fire Walk and in 2022, more than 20 Active Communities supporters took part in the annual Glasgow Kilt Walk, raising over £10,000!
Kilt Walk is a vital event that’s accessible for all abilities which provides vital match-funding for every penny raised. The money raised at this year’s event will directly supply our Community Pantry, which brings quality food to those most in need at a minimal cost. The funds will also help us run more of our community groups in Station Seven.
Our successful Jingle Bell Run also helps to raise much-needed funds for Active Communities - as well as Christmas cheer to people across Renfrewshire!
There are so many ways you can raise money to support our growing community.
Got a big birthday, wedding or milestone coming up? Swap gifts for donations by setting up a fundraising page where your friends and loved ones can gift to you and the community at the same time.
Or are you training for a 10k, taking on a marathon or bagging a munro? Set up a sponsorship page to get motivated towards your goals!
There are no steadfast rules to how you raise money for Active Communities. Whether you’re raising funds yourself, as a group, or a business - we’d love to hear from you!
When you raise funds for Active Communities, every penny goes back into running our community groups, activities and support services.
