Thank you for supporting our Jingle Bell Run

On Sunday 1st December, Barshaw Park in Paisley was alive with the sound of jingling bells and festive cheer as we hosted our 20th Anniversary Jingle Bell Run 2024. We were delighted to see so many runners, supporters, and families come together to celebrate the season and support a worthy cause.

On behalf of everyone at Active Communities, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part - whether you were running, cheering on the sidelines, or enjoying the festive activities. Your energy and enthusiasm helped make this event truly magical.

A Special Thank You

We want to express our gratitude to our dedicated volunteers and staff, whose hard work and commitment were essential to the day’s success.

A heartfelt thank you to the Renfrewshire Council Paisley East Local Partnership for their generous grant funding, which made this event possible.

We’re also incredibly grateful to:

• Susan McDonald, founder of the Jingle Bell Run, for being our official race starter.
• Tommy McGrory & team for providing fantastic music and announcements throughout the day.
• Alexis for energising our runners with the warm-up sessions.
• Paul Armour, our amazing balloon modeller, for keeping everyone entertained.
• Our fabulous face-painter and glitter tattoo artist for adding sparkle and fun.
• The two first aiders from St. Andrews, ensuring everyone’s safety.
• Decathlon Silverburn for donating prizes for our winners.
• Our friends at Leap Together for lending us gazebos that kept us covered.
• The team at Barshaw Miniature Railway for offering free train rides to all entrants.
• The Friends of Barshaw Park and Create Paisley for their continued support.
• Wheatley’s Café for opening early to serve participants and spectators alike.

Thanks to your support, we raised vital funds to sustain our ongoing projects, including the Community Pantry, free wellbeing classes, and social groups across Renfrewshire.
