We’ve put a team together for this year’s Glasgow Kiltwalk on Sunday, April 30?
The Kiltwalk is a fantastic, feel-good, fun event which brings people together – just like Active Communities!
Our team of staff and volunteers have been training for weeks and are looking forward to the big day. Our fundraising is going well so far - but we'd love to raise even more!
If you're able to contribute in any way, we'd be very grateful. Click here to go to our donation page.
We took part in the virtual Kiltwalk in 2020 and raised a fantastic £3,330 and last year, our fantastic team raised just over £9,000 after the generous top up from the Tom Hunter Foundation.
We are a small team at Active Communities working hard to help people deal with health, social and economic inequalities through our community pantry, reduce loneliness and isolation through our befrienders and drop-in groups, and help people lead healthy, happy lives through our low-cost or free walking, jogging and exercise groups.
But none of this is possible without the support of others. The Kiltwalk is a brilliant challenge. You can decide your distance: the 22.7mile Mighty Stride, The Big Stroll which is 14.3miles or the 3.1mile Wee Wander.
We can only keep costs for our classes free or low-cost thanks to donations and fundraising and the Glasgow Kiltwalk is a great way to raise money as every penny raised for us comes straight to us, plus the 25% top up via Gift Aid.
