Active Communities helped hundreds of families celebrate the Johnstone Christmas lights-switch on event on Saturday afternoon.
The Johnstone-based charity held an afternoon of festive family fun as part of the Renfrewshire Council event.
There was a fantastic festive Silent Disco in Houstoun Square where people could stick on some headphones and dance to some brilliant party tunes - as well as some festive favourites!
And in our recently-opened community hub, Station Seven, we welcomed along hundreds of families to enjoy a variety of free entertainment.
Thanks to a partnership with Jam Jar Movies, Paisley Community Trust and Roar, we put on two festive family films - The Star and The Grinch, which were both very popular. We also gave away free popcorn for people to enjoy.
We held a very popular treasure hunt with medals for everyone who completed the trail, Christmas ornament decorating, scratch art, Christmas colouring and decorate your own Christmas cookies. There was also a fun Kids vs Adults games area and a very popular raffle.
Amanda Moulson, Station Seven Development Manager, said: "We had a fantastic day on Saturday.
"Our homemade soup and cookies went down a storm as did the tea, coffee, hot chocolate, hot dogs, cinnamon buns and sweetie cones!
"A big thanks to Rachael McGougan, our community food co-ordinator, for all her hard work in the kitchen.
"We’d like to thank Renfrewshire Council for their support and Provost Lorraine Cameron for popping in to see us.
"Once again, we had a team of fantastic volunteers who got stuck in and really helped the day run smoothly. I'd also like to thank everyone at Active Communities who worked so hard on the day.
"But most of all a big thank you to everyone who came along to see us. A lot of people said they hadn't been to Station Seven before and mentioned how impressed they were with the building and how great it was to have something like this in Johnstone.
"We hope to see many more of you back at some of our classes and events when we launch our new What's On guide in January.
"Keep an eye on our website www.activecommunities.co.uk and our social media for the latest updates."
