More Partnership Projects

We pride ourselves on our partnership working and working collaboratively for the benefit of the whole community. We have developed a number of multi-agency initiatives, working with partners who share our goals, cultures and values.

We do this in a variety of ways including:

  • Take referrals from partners - social work, community link workers into our programmes. We also meet with partners to discuss their clients’ needs and how best we can support them. We work alongside RAMH, ROAR, Star Project and Linstone Housing, meeting on a regular basis to see who is best placed to deliver appropriate support to community members who are referred.
  • We signed a strategic partnership with Renfrewshire Council which will ensure that Active Communities will be a key delivery partner in the Social Renewal Plan, Tackling Poverty Programme and Economic Development. We meet on a quarterly basis with officers to review programmes, contracts and feedback from our community on their needs.
  • Membership of the Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) Strategic Leading the Healthy and Active Living subgroup of Renfrewshire HSCP to identify and deliver on community health and wellbeing priorities. We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the RHSCP for joint working and collaboration in the delivery of agreed priorities.
  • Partnering Renfrewshire Council on the new Empowering Parents Empowering Communities programme. We will recruit, train and support local parents to deliver a peer led parenting programme.
  • Membership of the Alcohol and Drugs Commission and working with Renfrewshire Council to investigate the possibility of a satellite Recovery Hub model in Johnstone.
  • Membership of the Digital Citizen steering group to enable partnership working to increase digital inclusion and close the digital divide.
  • Membership of the Johnstone Local Partnership with representation from local community and third sector groups. This partnership looks at local needs and prioritises resources and funding to tackle these. It enables us to come together with other community groups and ensure we are all working for the benefit of the local community.
  • Membership of the Scottish Pantry network to assist with the development of our pantry. We are working in partnership with RAMH and The Star Project on our Pantry.
  • We are working collaboratively with a number of partners to ensure a more joined up approach to supporting our communities. This has influenced our delivery of programmes and collaborative projects at Station Seven.- ROAR Connections for Life, Linstone Housing, RAMH, Star Project, Department for Work and Pensions, Social Security Scotland, West College Scotland, Invest in Renfrewshire, RHSCP and Renfrewshire Council.
  • We also commissioned a feasibility study of local groups and businesses on what Station Seven should look like and how we can respond to changes in need as a result of Covid 19.
  • ROAR - Connections For Life has moved offices into Station Seven and is delivering some of its groups from here too. We are working collaboratively with ROAR on befriending, health and wellbeing, staff/volunteer training, community engagement and developing new intergenerational projects.
