Hearty Lives Renfrewshire

Hearty Lives T with flowerHearty Lives Renfrewshire is funded by the British Heart Foundation for the next 3 years to address some of the known health inequalities in the communities of Linwood and Ferguslie Park in Renfrewshire. It is one of seven new projects which are the latest to be funded through the BHF’s £12 million Hearty Lives programme, which now includes 35 projects across the UK that have helped more than 60,000 people improve their heart health.

Hearty Lives Renfrewshire is a partnership project led by the Paisley Heart Town Steering group and delivered by Active Communities (Scotland) Ltd. The project will target young people aged 11 to 18 to reduce the Coronary Heart Disease risk factors of low physical activity, poor eating habits, smoking and poor self- esteem. We need to engage, motivate, support, facilitate, enthuse and enable local young people aged 11 to 18 in order to do this.
