Lagoon Jogging Buddies -Tuesday 28th August, 6.00pm: Lagoon Leisure Centre, Christie Street, Paisley PA1 1NB

Ralston Jogging Buddies -Wednesday 27th August, 7.00pm: Ralston Sports Centre, Penilee Road, Paisley PA1 3AX

Erskine Jogging Buddies - Thursday 6th September, 6.30pm: Erskine Sports Centre, Kilpatrick Drive, Erskine PA8 7AF

Linwood Jogging Buddies - Saturday 1st September, 10.00am: ON-X Linwood, Brediland Road, Linwood PA3 3RA

The Couch to 5K programme is suitable for absolute beginners and doesn’t require any level of fitness. Each week you will work with our friendly qualified Jog Leaders who will encourage and support your running. In just 9 weeks you will be feeling fitter, healthier and able to run 5KM – you CAN do it!

First off, you may be asking, "exactly how many miles is a 5K?" A 5K is 3.1 miles. We're here to help you achieve your goal of beginning to run your first 5K. Too many people have been turned off of running simply by trying to start off too fast. Their body rebels and they wind up miserable, wondering why anyone would possibly want to run in the first place.

You should ease into your 5K training plan gradually. In fact, the beginners' programme is less of a running regime and more of a walking and jogging programme. The idea is to transform you from couch potato to runner, getting you to begin running a 5K or 3.1 miles and on a regular basis in just two months.

Jogging Buddies will be running the Couch to 5K programme , week commencing 17th August at the following groups:
